Yeah the first muthaf*ckin' time - you gotta see it to believe it:
Here's the official press release:
Rap superstar, DMX, has announced his first ever Australian tour which will take in every capital city this December.
Beyond iconic, the legendary DMX has been the true voice of the hood since he burst onto the scene as a representative of the label and street movement, Ruff Ryders almost a decade ago. With a three year hiatus, it's now time for the long overdue and much needed return of rap's prophetic visionary, DMX. And for the first time ever in Australia, OPP and Showtime Entertainment bring us what rap fans have been waiting for... DMX live at his gritty and frenzied best!
With an incredible 20 million albums sold worldwide, and the only artist in the history of the Billboard Top 200 to have his first five albums debut consecutively at number one, DMX is undisputedly one of the most memorable MC’s of all time. He is the only artist who has spent a career inspiring followers around the world to bark and rhyme in loud bursts of music and energy, only then to get them to read and rap and think and cry in private moments of honest thought and introspection. No one in hip hop has ever done it better.
With six legendary albums under his belt containing a string of huge anthems including, "Where The Hood At?", "Party Up", "Get It On The Floor", "X Gonna Give It To Ya", "Ruff Ryder's Anthem" and "Lord Give Me A Sign", the undisputed king of the hood is bringing his massive show down under and promises that he is back, definitely bigger and better than ever in 2006.

Don't get me wrong, DMX is cool. He has one of the most unique rapping styles in the industry, but I would hardly call him 'King of the Hood".
He's great, but he is not influential to the rap or hip hop industry. If you want influential, you've got Dr. Dre, Nas, Jay-Z, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Timbaland, and a few others.
Take care and peace out...
